Authors Rap Battle

This page showcases a unique "rap battle" between authors, inspired by the references gathered during the Module 1 of the Certificate for Advanced Studies in AI for Creative Practices, taught by Professor Chris Salter from ZHdK, Zurich University of Art and Design. Over the course of three immersive days, we delved into the foundations of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The 74 authors featured in this battle are key figures whose works were studied during the module.

This course explored the genealogies of AI, covering how the field began and what Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning mean today. From their symbolic roots in the 20th century to modern applications in the 21st century, this page is a playful exploration of the ideas and personalities that shaped AI and Machine Learning. The authors mentioned fall into three major AI categories: Symbolic AI, Connectionist AI, and a third area Enactive AI, which studies the "embodiment" of AI with human cognition and the environment.

My role in this was to compile a comprehensive list of references mentioned throughout the course and categorize them based on their theoretical contexts. This rap battle is an interactive way to engage with their contributions.
